Why Accounts are Required at NWASells.com
NWASells.com is a FREE service. You don't have to give us a credit card number to use our standard service, and we won't use your information to send you unsolicited emails (SPAM) advertising products on behalf of any third parties. So, why do we require an account to be set up? When you set up an account on NWASells.com, we do ask for information such as your name, phone number, and email address. However, we do not share that information with anyone... even your prospective customers. Instead, we provide a link that allows your customers to contact you through the website. This posts a message to your "My Messages" mailbox. A copy of the message is also sent to your actual email address for your convenience. However, at no time is your email address actually given to the customer. They are only able to send email to you through the website. Your name and phone number are also never shared. They are requested in the event that we need to contact you for some reason. It may also be posted on item flyers and other promotional tools we provide for you (at your option). NWASells.com is committed to protecting your reputation as well as our own. Unfortunately, not everyone on the Internet is as concerned with your reputation. Anonymous users can, and often do, post inappropriate content because they perceive (often correctly) that there will be no personal repercussions of their actions. However, the sites reputation would be tarnished and so would the reputations of the responsible posters on the site. We simply cannot allow that. To prevent this, NWASells.com does not allow content to be posted to the site by anonymous users of the Internet. If we were to allow it, and inappropriate content was posted to NWASells.com for any length of time, it would reflect poorly on the site and on your legitimate posted content. By requiring users to create an account with a valid email address, the anonymous nature of the Internet is stripped away and people are made responsible for what they post to NWASells.com. While this won't completely remove the threat of inappropriate content being posted to NWASells.com, it will greatly reduce it. When you post items on NWASells.com, you post under a nickname. This allows you to protect your privacy, and establish a reputation to the NWASells.com community at the same time. Nicknames at NWASells.com are exclusive. Once you have chosen a nickname, that nickname becomes unavailable for other members. So, as you post items and people purchase your items, you gain a reputation as a "solid" seller who follows through on your commitments. From time to time, we may need to send you an email to keep you informed about certain aspects of the site. Here are some reasons you might receive emails from NWASells.com: Items posted at NWASells.com automatically expire after 60 days. This is to keep items that have been sold or are no longer for sale from being left on the system. However, you are free to renew the item as often as you want. When the item is about to reach its expiration date, we will send you an email to inform you of that so that you can either choose to renew the item or allow it to expire. If you have a premium account with NWASells.com and it is about to expire, we will send you a notice so that you may renew it. From time to time, we will run special promotions on the site, and we may send emails to you to keep you informed so that you can take advantage of any special offers.
